HOUSE FIRE, FIREFIGHTERS CALLED
On Thursday, September 11th, firefighters were alerted by a call about a fire at a private property in Dover. Residents near the Elms Vale area were advised to keep their windows and doors shut due to smoke coming from the house.
The incident occurred around 8:40 am on Markland Road. A total of 13 fire engines, a bulk water carrier, and a height vehicle are present.
A KFRS spokesperson stated: 'At the height of the incident, there were 13 fire engines, a height vehicle, and a bulk water carrier in attendance. Crews used main jets and hose reels to extinguish the flames and cool down hotspots.'
The Technical Rescue Unit and the Volunteer Response Team were also present to support affected residents. No injuries were reported, and the cause is believed to be accidental.
