PRINCE ANDREW GIVES UP ROYAL TITLES

Prince Andrew gives up royal titles

Prince Andrew has announced that he will give up his royal title of Duke of York and other honours. In a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Friday, and with the agreement of his brother, King Charles III, Andrew stated that 'the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the royal family.' He added: 'With His Majesty's agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me.'

The Prince, however, denies all accusations against him. The announcement comes ahead of the release of the posthumous memoir by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who died by suicide last April and who accuses the prince of having sexual encounters with her when she was 17 and of being a victim of Epstein's human trafficking
