LORRY DRIVER HIDES COCAINE IN THE CARGO WITH LEGO BRICKS
A lorry was stopped near the Port of Dover. Border Force officers halted the lorry driver, Feruz Kadirov, at Dover's Eastern Docks, arriving from Belgium.
Inside, alongside the shipment of 50 pallets of Lego, were 20 one-kilogram 'bricks' of cocaine. The packages were hidden under the Uzbek citizen's mattress in his bunk and another 15 were concealed behind the external refrigerator engine.
Tracey Gasson, National Crime Agency operations manager, stated: 'Through the brilliant detection work by Border Force and the NCA investigation, we have removed Kadirov, who was a crucial member of his organised crime group.'
