NEW BT STREET HUB
Dover District Council: new planning applications submitted, including the construction of a new house and new digital advertising screens.
BT has submitted an application for the removal of a telephone box located on Deal High Street, which will then be replaced with a Street Hub. The company will offer free calls, public WiFi, and an emergency call button. The company will remove the old box, which will be replaced with a new Street Hub that will also feature two 75-inch LCD advertising screens.
In the planning documents, BT adds: 'Street Hubs will future-proof the high street, making it safer, smarter, and more sustainable. It is part of our continued commitment to invest in and improve high streets and declutter these environments.'
A request for the construction of a single dwelling in Martin Mill, near Dover, has also been forwarded to the district council
