DOVER: MAN DETAINED BY COUNTER-TERRORISM POLICE.
K.A., a 24-year-old man, has been detained by counter-terrorism police in Dover. The man, a dual Dutch and Irish national, was stopped after arriving in the UK from France. During a search of his vehicle, officers discovered self-loading pistols along with ammunition. Commander Helen Flanagan, head of the Counter Terrorism Command in London, stated: "Following the arrest, investigations have been carried out, but to date, no imminent threat to the public has been identified. Given that the man has been charged, it is important that there is no further speculation about the case while criminal proceedings are active. However, I can reassure the public that our investigation remains ongoing to ensure the public is kept safe."
