FATAL ACCIDENT ON THE A2 NEAR THE PORT OF DOVER.

A man has lost his life following a two-car collision on the A2 Jubilee Way, between the A256 Whitfield Hill and the A258, near the Port of Dover. The road was closed in both directions. A police spokesperson stated: "Kent Police was called at 7:26 am on Friday, 9 January, to a collision on the coast-bound carriageway of the A2 near Whitfield, Dover. Officers and paramedics attended; a man in his 40s was subsequently confirmed deceased. "The road was closed between the A256 and the A258 while emergency services responded to the incident, and it has since reopened." The closure was lifted around 10:30 am, and normal traffic conditions resumed in the area shortly after.
